Hitler ruined a perfectly good mustache

I must begin by saying that I'm no fan of Hitler. The guy was probably the most evil, sick prick to ever walk the earth. At the very least he was the most evil sick prick who was able to carry out his plans on a massive level. I don't quite understand though, why our contempt for him should extend to his facial hair. Prior to World War II, many gentlemen wore the "Hitler Moustache", (although I'm sure it wasn't called that at the time.) Charlie Chaplin had his own version, and no one complained about him.

Do we shy away from this style, because we fear being associated with such an evil man, (Hitler, not Chaplin) or do we subconsciously believe that if we look like evil, we will become evil? I'm not sure what the answer is, but I think it's time to end Hitler's final act of oppression. Yes, let's end his death grip on what kind of facial hair men wear. Let's be free to wear whatever we want, and not allow what any prick looked like to affect us. Gentlemen, (and a few disturbing ladies) it's time to break the chains of oppression, and grow that moustache with pride. And if somehow you do turn evil, and take over the world, just remember, I was always nice to you.
